The above video brought a smile to my face – it is so true! Conversations between millennial home buyers and mature Realtors can be funny at times. But when it comes to work, an experienced and professional Realtor will do his or her homework to serve the youngest of their clients with full respect and empathy.
And millennial home buyers themselves are smart, savvy and know what they want. Millennial home buying is growing in numbers and Realtors have to adapt to a new way of doing business. More importantly , Gen Y buyers need to feel comfortable in dealing with their Realtor for one of the biggest financial decisions that they are making.
Well, my job just got a whole lot easier because I have a millennial for a millennial! My son Pratham, is himself a Gen Y Realtor and works so comfortably with Gen Y buyers. He is a dedicated and committed Realtor who puts the interests of his buyers first and understands their goals, needs and budget constraints. That connection is so important and I watch with pride as Pratham works more as a friend with his young first time buyer clients, yet in the most professional way.
It is a whole new generation who don’t shy away from working hard as a Realtor, or aspiring for what they want as home buyers.
