M City Update – What to Expect!
M City Update – Baker Real Estate, the company overseeing the marketing and promotion of the much talked about M City Condo project will be releasing floor plans and prices to their VIP brokers on March 22, 2017. M City is perhaps the hottest builder new condo project in Square One, Mississauga.
This is due to the unprecedented online hype regarding this project. Sometimes buying a builder new condo on a hype is not the best thing to do. Having said that, I am reserving my comments on M City Condos until the Broker Launch event next week. Our clients can expect to receive my unbiased opinion on buying and investing in M City at that time.
BUYING PROCESS:
M City Condo developers have not as yet categorized different tiers of brokers – like Platinum, VIP, Privilege etc. for prioritizing condo sales. What it means is that there will be just two events: a VIP broker event, where people who have registered with Realtors like myself will be allowed to buy. This will be followed with a public sales event.

M City Update – Managing Buyer Expectations
The current demand is so high that the chances to getting the exact suite selection are quite low. There is no guarantee that you will receive the suite of your choice, or any suite for that matter. Recently, I was talking with another big developer who was concerned about the same issue. For a tower with 600 condo units, over 2,400 worksheets were submitted. So there you go – that’s how high the demand is.
M City Update – Shape of things to come
M City will be a 10-tower, 15-acre, 4.3 million sq. ft. community featuring over two acres of public parkland, a pedestrian-friendly environment, two-way roads with on-street parking, sidewalks and residential frontages. M City will be situated on Burnhamthorpe Rd and provide north and south connections along Mary Fix Creek. M City is being overseen by many firms, including Urban Capital, Cooper Robertson, CORE Architects, Cecconi Simone (interior design) and Baker Real Estate Inc. The project is designed to fit into Mississauga city’s Downtown 21 plan and intends to further the city’s transformation from a semi-urban bedroom community to a richer, denser urban space.
The first tower will have a unique zig-zag architecture, however, it is said that there will be an array of condo suite layouts for purchasers to choose from. The tower will feature well-planned livable spaces with light, medium and dark palettes. The overall design will be urban and chic heralding a new Mississauga.

M City Update – Amenities Spotlight
The amenities offer residents ultimate variety in activity choices. There are social and interactive spaces promoting a sense of uniqueness and community. M City residents will have a unique opportunity to experience the rooftop amenity space serving as a skating rink during the winter.

M City also stands to gain from the current Mississauga real estate market trends.
