In May 2009, Greater Toronto REALTORS® reported 9,589 sales- up almost two per cent from May 2008.
In Mississauga semi-detached homes in affordable price range are the breaking all time records. The real estate market data shows that almost every semi that was listed in May 2009 sold. Definitely we are returning to a seller’s market.
That explains why many first time buyers are finding it hard to see more number of affordable homes when out shopping. If the number of new listings don’t increase soon, it may put an upward pressure on home sale prices in 2009.
Definitely a great time for sellers in Mississauga. Let me know if you are planning to sell.
If you are a buyer in today’s market, my advice will be to work with a Realtor, someone who you can trust. Good affordable homes don’t last long in the market. Realtors not only have the fastest access to MLS listings out there, they also protect your interest in so many ways and at no cost (buyers don’t pay real estate commission) to the buyers.
