More Reasons to Live in Mississauga 2019A big draw to downtown living is having urban conveniences at your fingertips. Your favourite restaurant and the hottest club are a short stroll away. Add to this “affordability” factor (as of now at least), you have a downtown that is hard to resist.

What’s unique and driving more people towards downtown Mississauga is the fact that low-rise housing is almost out of reach for most buyers. Mississauga Square One offers a plethora of condo apartment choices in the resale and builder new condo categories.

Square One Mall is the largest shopping centre in Ontario & 3rd largest in Canada

Square One has grown to a rapidly expanding shopping haven that is home to global affordable, mid-range and luxury brands. According to a recent Retail Council of Canada study, Square One is one of the top 10 malls in Canada in terms of sales by square feet.

Square One is fast adding exciting names to its roster. Perhaps one of the most exciting addition is the Rec Room (located right next to our REMAX Office of  Team Amit Kalia), a Cineplex-owned entertainment complex. In terms of stores, the high-end department store Holt Renfrew, and the popular affordable Asian store Uniqlo that opened earlier this month, are some of the hot retail names. And now

Square One is working on its ambitious west expansion project, which will include a modern and trendy Food District, expected to open in Spring 2019.

Increased GO Transit Connectivity with Downtown Toronto

Top Reasons to Live in MississaugaIt is estimated that more than 250,000 riders take the GO train or GO bus to the Union station each week. Ridership is estimated to grow by another 50% by 2020. The Ontario government has committed to a $13.5-billion, 10-year investment plan to expand service, adding more trips to the main corridors and implementing the GO Regional Express Rail (RER).

It is fair to assume then that Mississauga homes situated close to GO stations will increase in value. Mississauga GO Train Stations are located on Milton GO Line (Dixie, Cooksville, Erindale, Streetsville, Meadowvale, Lisgar) and Lakeshore GO Line (Port Credit & Clarkson).

Mississauga is also working on greater inter and intra-city connectivity other than GO Transit. Mississauga’s downtown core will be home to four new light rail transit stops (LRT) as part of the 20 kilometer Hurontario LRT. Construction on the LRT has already begun.
