In response to the increasing number of baby boomers in the North American population, the National Association of Realtors has formulated a new designation: Seniors Real Estate Specialist SRES®, which is designed to cater to the real estate needs of this segment in America and Canada respectively. 

A Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) is a REALTOR® who is qualified to assist seniors in the sale & purchase of their home. This designation is awarded upon completion of a series of educational courses on helping seniors & their families with real estate transactions & the financial, legal & emotional issues that may accompany the sale of the home.
