Sheridan College Hazell Mccallion Campus

Mississauga’s City Council has recently approved a lease agreement that will bring a Sheridan College campus to the heart of Mississauga City Centre at the corner of Duke of York Boulevard and Prince of Wales Drive. In its first phase of development, Sheridan’s Mississauga campus will accommodate 1,760 students, including 1200 business students, when it opens in fall 2011. An additional 3,740 students will follow in phase two, bringing the potential student enrolment total to 5,000. The campus will be located on a 8.5-acre parcel of land just north of the Living Arts Centre.

Sheridan’s Mississauga campus will be a state-of-the-art, post-secondary institution with two main concentrations: business education and programs to accelerate the movement of new Canadians into the workforce.

Sheridan college is going to create short-term economic stimulus, create jobs, provide more opportunities for students and help Mississauga’s downtown core transform and revitalized. Sheridan will also solve the GTA’s skills shortage and provide a range of services and programming that will help foreign-trained professionals find good jobs.
